How does Pay What Is Fair work for Joint Accounts?

At Aspiration, you decide how much to pay us. We’re confident enough in our products and in the honor of our customers to trust you to make this decision. We call this “Pay What Is Fair”. We feel this fee model is fair to you, and in turn, we’re counting on you to be fair to us.

We will not earn a cent from you other than the fee you select.

When you set up your Summit checking account, you can select a monthly “tip” to be deducted from your account. This is paid once monthly for both individual and joint accounts.

If you’d like to change your tip amount, this can be done at any time by logging in to your account and going to Settings > Pay What Is Fair > Fee Settings. For joint accounts, both owners have the ability to change the “Pay What Is Fair” setting.
