How are the nonprofits in each group chosen?

We have partnered with Bright Funds to create a curated set of investment options. These funds represent a pool of non-profit organizations chosen for their ability to make progress in resolving the complex issues they represent.

Each non-profit undergoes a rigorous, proprietary process to assess their work prior to being selected into a group. Leveraging assessments done by reputable third party groups such as GiveWell, Philanthropedia, CharityNavigator, CharityWatch and Universal Giving, organizations are then assessed based on a unique point system to determine whether they are a good fit. If so, they are placed in a fund where they are able to make a significant impact and monitored quarterly to ensure they continue to do so.

To date, not a single nonprofit has been removed for underperformance.
