Current Limitations on Mobile Check Deposit

You cannot currently do the following:

  • Deposit a check or money order using a Bank teller or ATM machine
  • Deposit checks directly into Save
  • Send us a check in the mail instead of using mobile deposit (for certain deposits, we may ask for items to be mailed after you use mobile deposit)
  • Deposit more than $500,000 of checks in a rolling 30 day period

 

We currently do not accept the following for deposit:

  • Checks you wrote to yourself (Instead, link your bank and complete an ACH transfer via mobile app or website)
    • Checks that have been signed over from another party, including your partner or relative
    • Checks made out to businesses (Aspiration supports personal use only at this time
  • Checks in more than 1 person’s name (unless you have a joint account)
  • Checks in any other name or alias (email support@aspiration.com if you need to change your name or add proof of guardianship for a minor)
  • Checks that are expired, have been altered, or previously deposited
  • Checks with missing or mismatching information or that are illegible, written in pencil or light ink
  • Foreign or international checks, Credit Card checks, Loan checks and eChecks
  • Other types of checks not listed may not be accepted. If a check is not accepted, we will email you with more information
