How do I close my Aspiration Spend & Save account?

 

Carefully following the 3 steps below will ensure no delays with your account closure.

To Close your Spend & Save account:

  1. Login to your account one last time to ensure your mailing address is up to date in the event we need to mail you follow up communication. 
  2. Empty your account. Account balances must reach 0 prior to closure. You can use your physical or digital debit card, withdraw money at an ATM, initiate a transfer to a linked bank or use a peer to peer app
  3. Lastly, complete the electronic closure form using the email address associated with your account.

Limitations:

  • If for any reason you cannot bring your balance to $0, then after you complete the closure form we will mail you a paper check for the balance in the account. Please allow up to 14 days for mailed checks to arrive.
  • If you are unable to login to verify your mailing address or check your balance, you can reset your password. Call us if you need to change your email address used for logging in.
  • If you have a joint account, only 1 party must complete the closure form. Once one party has completed the closure form, both accounts will be closed. Joint accounts cannot be separated.
  • Both Spend & Save accounts must be closed when a closure form is completed. We are not able to close the Spend or Save accounts separately.
  • If you email support@aspiration.com to request account closure, we will reply with the instructions listed above.
