How do I open an account with Aspiration?
Signing up for an Aspiration account is easy: sign up online or download our app and begin the application process!
We’ve tried to make the sign-up process as easy for you as possible, but if you have any questions along the way please don’t hesitate to let us know.
Who can apply for an Aspiration Spend & Save account?
Any U.S. citizen or permanent resident (with a 10-Year Permanent Resident Card; a 2-Year Green Card will not meet this requirement) over 18 years old can open an Aspiration Spend & Save Account.
You must be a resident of the 50 United States (including Washington D.C.), Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are currently the only U.S. territories we are able to support at this time.
You will also need a checking or savings account from a U.S. bank or credit union in order to fund your account with us. The minimum deposit for opening an account is only $10.
Does Aspiration run a credit check when I open an account?
We do not run the kind of credit check that will ding your score. Federal law does require us to verify your identity and the information you’ve provided to us in the account opening process. This is sometimes called a “soft credit check” but it will not show up on your credit report.
