Existing individual Checking & Savings account holders can follow the tile in the Discover section of the app or website to invite another person to open a joint account with them.
- Tap Get Started.
- Tap Open Joint Account.
- Fill in the information for the person you would like to invite to a joint account.
- They will receive an email with a link to complete the application process.
- If approved, you will both be notified with information to access your new joint account.
- Your individual checking & savings account remains separate.
If you already have a joint account:
- You and your joint account holder may continue to access your joint account as normal.
- We hope to upgrade your legacy joint account soon, at which point you will be able to create a separate individual checking & savings account alongside your joint checking & savings account.
If you are not interested in opening an individual checking & savings account, and would like a joint checking and savings account:
- At this time, only existing individual checking & savings customers can hold a joint account. We plan to make the joint account application available for new customers in the future, but there is currently no ETA.
- You have the option of opening an individual account, then opening a joint account, and then closing your individual account after the joint account has been created.
