Electronic transfers:
Electronic transfers (also known as ACH transfers) process through the Automated Clearing House Network, a U.S. financial network used for electronic payments and money transfers. Incoming transfers scheduled on our website or mobile app take 2-3 business days to post to ensure all funds have been processed fully through the Automated Clearing House Network.
The daily cutoff time for scheduling incoming electronic transfers is 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time (PT). If you schedule an incoming transfer on a business day before 8:00 p.m. PT, it will begin processing that same day, and the funds will post to your account 2-3 business days later. If you schedule your transfer after that cutoff time on a business day, or at any time on a non-business day, it will begin processing the next business day, and the funds will post to your account 2-3 business days after that.
Wire transfers:
To request an outgoing wire transfer, please click here.
Outgoing domestic wire transfers must be scheduled on a business day before the applicable cutoff time to be debited same-day. Domestic wire transfers must be scheduled by 1pm PT.
Outgoing international wire transfers must be scheduled by 11am PT to be debited the same-day, and take about 2-4 business days to go through.
Incoming wire transfers received by 12pm PT should be credited the same day, but are subject to the sending bank’s processing times.
Mobile check deposits:
"For Mobile Deposit Only at Aspiration" must be written on the back of your check, under your endorsement, to be accepted. Checks deposited via the mobile app become available 1-2 business days* after being deposited.
If deposited before 2pm PT on a business day, the funds will become available 1 business day after the day of deposit. If deposited after that daily cutoff time, or on a non-business day, the funds will become available 2 business days after the day of deposit.
Check funds should reflect in your available balance for use by 5 pm PT on the day the deposit is set to be available.
* Please note that checks deposited within the first 30 days an account is open are subject to a 5 business day hold. Checks deposited after the 30 day mark may also be subject to a 5 business day hold on a case-by-case basis.
Debit card transfers:
You can use your debit card for the initial funding of your Spend & Save account during the application process. The maximum amount that can be transferred from a debit card is $2,000.00 and the funds will take approximately 2 to 3 business days to arrive. The debit card must be linked to a US-based bank and cannot be a prepaid debit card or a credit card. The transaction in your external account should show up as “Transfer to Aspiration.”
You can also transfer funds to your Aspiration Spend & Save account using the same debit card used during the initial funding transfer for subsequent transfers. You can only make one transfer per day that will initiate on the current date. Scheduling transfers for future dates and recurring transfers is not yet available. More details will be provided once those become available.
If a transaction is made by 4:59pm PT on a Monday, it will be posted by Wednesday, but if the transaction is made at 5:00pm PT or later, it will be posted by Thursday.
If a transaction is made by 4:59pm PT on a Friday, it will be posted by Tuesday, but if the transaction is made at 5:00pm PT or later, it will be posted by Wednesday.
