  • How does direct deposit work?

    • Direct deposit helps you save time by having your paycheck and other recurring deposits sent directly to your Aspiration Spend & Save account automatically. With direct deposit, you may even get access to your funds up to 2 days earlier. Please view this FAQ for more details.

  • How do I set up direct deposit?

    • You have 3 options for setting up your direct deposit. These options are either automatic or manual and may depend on your employer or payroll provider.
    • Option 1 (Automatic) - We can help take care of it for you
      • Aspiration has partnered with Pinwheel, a third party organization, to help you set up your direct deposit simply and securely.
      • Pinwheel has partnerships with over 1600 payroll providers and employers. If your payroll provider or employer is set up with Pinwheel, you can initiate your direct deposit set up with just a few clicks. If you do not see your employer or payroll provider listed, you can still set up your direct deposit using one of the manual options.
      • Once successfully submitted, your direct deposit will be processed within 1-2 pay cycles.
    • Option 2 (Manual) - Enter your account information directly into your employer payroll processing system
      • Aspiration makes it easy to submit your direct deposit information manually. Simply locate your routing number and account number on the direct deposit page and enter those details directly into your employer payroll system.
      • Depending on your employer’s set up, your direct deposit may be processed within 1-3 pay cycles.
    • Option 3 (Manual) - Submit a PDF with your Aspiration account details to your employer
      • Aspiration makes it easy to submit your direct deposit information manually with a pre-filled direct deposit form. Simply visit your Direct Deposit page and fill out a few details to generate a direct deposit form, which you can print out and share with your employer’s HR department.
      • Depending on your employer’s set up, your direct deposit may be processed within 1-3 pay cycles.

    • With Aspiration, you’ll even get access to your funds up to 2 days earlier

  • How can I stop my direct deposit, or switch the account I want my money to be deposited into?

  • Are my deposits secured?

    • When you deposit your money with Aspiration, your deposits are insured up to $2 million dollars by the FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation). Please view this FAQ for more details.
