When you open your account with Aspiration, you’ll be prompted to link a checking or savings account (that must be in your name) from a US-based financial institution (including Credit Unions). This bank account will serve as the source to fund your investments as well as receive any withdrawals. As soon as we have confirmed that your bank account is linked electronically, you will be able to make your first investment in the Aspiration Redwood Fund.
At this time, there is only one way to link your bank account electronically and verify that you are the owner of the account:
Instant Verification: We offer instant verification for larger banks and financial institutions. To use this method you will simply enter the same login credentials (username, password, and security questions) that you would use to login to your account on your bank’s website. Once your information is verified, you will get instant confirmation and you will be ready to start investing.
Please note: Your login credentials are passed directly to your financial institution for verification.
